This data protection declaration serves the user of www.europa-connections.eu as information about the collection of personal data when using the website and all associated online offers. "Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Identifiable is a natural person who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by assignment to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or one or more special characteristics that express the physical, physiological, genetic, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person. All other terms used in the data protection declaration of europa-connections correspond to the regulations of the basic data protection regulation. In this regard, we refer in particular to Art. 4 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The use of the website is basically possible without giving any personal data. Personal data will only be processed if this is necessary to provide a functional website as well as the content and services offered. If the processing of personal data is necessary and there is no legal basis for such processing, the consent of the data subject will generally be obtained.

3. Collection of general information and data

If the website is accessed without registering or otherwise providing information to the controller ("informational use"), only the personal data that the Internet browser used transmits to the website server will be collected. The use of this general data and information does not allow europa-connections to draw any conclusions about the person concerned. The aforementioned data are also stored in so-called log files on the servers of the person responsible for the processing. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user. The storage in log files serves to ensure the functionality and optimisation of the website and to ensure the security of the information technology systems, which at the same time justifies the justified interest of europa-connections in data processing. This data is not evaluated for marketing purposes.

If a user contacts the data controller by e-mail or using the contact form, the personal data transmitted by the user will be stored automatically. The data sent when contacting us includes above all:

  • email address

If the user provides further personal data when contacting us, this information is always provided voluntarily. The processing purpose of the data received during the establishment of contact lies solely in the processing of the inquiry or the establishment of contact to the respective user. This personal data is not passed on to third parties. The consent given in the context of the establishment of contact for the processing of the appropriate personal data, can be revoked at any time. The user can object to the storage of his personal data at any time by contacting us by e-mail. Please note that in this case the request cannot be processed further. The revocation or objection may be declared by sending an e-mail to the e-mail address of the controller.

5. Data transfer in the context of cost enquiries or orders

If the user of the website uses the "order form" provided to him by europa-connections, the personal data transmitted by the user will be stored for the purpose of processing the request. This data sent when requesting costs or placing an order includes above all:

The purpose of processing the data received when requesting costs or placing an order is solely to process the request or to contact the respective user. This personal data is not passed on to third parties. The consent given in the context of the cost inquiry for the processing of the appropriate personal data, can be revoked at any time. The user can object to the storage of his personal data at any time. Please note that in this case the request cannot be processed further. The revocation or objection may be declared by sending an e-mail to the e-mail address of the controller. The data transmitted in the context of the award of the contract shall be stored and kept by the controller in accordance with the laws or regulations to which the controller is subject in order to fulfil the retention obligations required for processing under Union or Member State law.

6. Submission of application documents

As part of the application process, the controller collects and processes the personal data provided by applicants. The processing purpose lies exclusively in the handling of the application procedure. Processing may also be carried out electronically. This is the case, for example, if an applicant sends appropriate application documents by e-mail to the controller. If the controller then concludes an employment contract with the applicant, the data transmitted will be stored for the purpose of processing the employment relationship in compliance with the statutory provisions. If the controller does not conclude an employment contract with the applicant, the application documents are automatically deleted two months after the decision of rejection is announced. This applies with the exception that the deletion is not opposed by any other legitimate interests of the controller, such as the burden of proof in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).

7. Routine blocking and deletion of personal data

europa-connections processes and stores personal data of the data subject, as a rule for the fulfilment of the contract or the initiation of the contract, only for the period necessary to achieve the storage purpose or insofar as this has been provided for by the European guideline and regulation provider or another legislator in laws or regulations to which the data controller is subject. If the storage purpose ceases to apply or if a storage period prescribed by the European Directive and Regulation Giver or another competent legislator expires, the personal data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

8. Legal basis of the processing

The processing of personal data in the context of the use of this website is generally carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, so that prior consent of the data subject is obtained. In all other cases, the legal basis for the processing of personal data in the context of the use of this website is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
